Where Have I Been??
Id like to start off by saying that I hope you all had a lovely Valentines Day and got to spend it with the ones you love! I know I haven't posted in a little while and I'm so sorry for that. I've been dealing with a really bad case of pink eye and then on top of that I had a reaction to toxic drops my doctor had prescribed. Schools been really busy since starting the new semester and even though I love my new classes, it's a bit stressful. I just wanted to make this quick little post to say I haven't abandoned my blog forever. I hope to post a tag tomorrow and maybe a week in photos. Hopefully this next week things will calm down and my posting won't be as sporadic. Thank you all for sticking with me!

NOTD: Valentine Mani #1
It's finally February and Valentines Day is right around the corner! Despite being single, I'm actually really excited. It's the perfect excuse to bust out all my pink polishes! I went for a color-blocking technique for this mani and I love it! I'll have a few more Valentine NOTDs coming up so look out for those!
What I Used:
L.A Colors Basecoat/Topcoat Duo
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Celeb City
L.A Colors in Summertime (lightest pink)
L.A Colors in Fuel (middle pink)
Funky Fingers in Pop Artist (hot pink)
nail tape or regular tape cut into small strips.
I started by applying my base coat and 2 coats of Celeb City. I gave my nails about 2 hours to dry just to make sure no polish would come off when I took the tape off. I took my tape and made random sections trying to make each nail different. If your having trouble sectioning them, this Pinterest board really helped me. Once I had them sectioned I painted them in which can be pretty messy. I took a q-tip soaked in acetone polish remover to make them look a little neater. I removed the tape exposing the silver lines and followed up with a topcoat. Then your finished! It's a little tedious and requires some patience but I love the outcome!

#2014BloggerChallenge | Once Upon A Time
Time for topic 3! This week topic is all about books. It couldn't have come at a better time because I just finished the Makeup Manual by Bobbi Brown.
She has her own line of cosmetics and this book is a step-by-step guide of what products to use for your facial features. Not only does she talk about makeup, but she talks about what skincare items will work for your skin type. It talks about the history of makeup and famous people in the cosmetology field. I thought this book would be the basics and things I already know, but it has tips for people looking to become professional makeup artists. It mentions what you should have on hand and also has tips for having confidence in your work. I absolutely loved this book and will be reading more!
Have you read this book or others by Bobbi Brown?

January Favorites 2014!
One of my New Years resolutions was to start doing monthly favorites. I love reading these posts to see what everyone else is loving at the moment. I'm going to do beauty, random, and, music favorites. Hope you enjoy and lets get into it!
Beauty!
Healthy Accents Moisturizing Cream - love this stuff! My skin has been so dry with all the cold weather. It moisturizes my skin without feeling greasy.
L'Oreal True Match Foundation- as mentioned, my skin has been very dry. This foundation doesn't accentuate my dry patches like most. Plus it matches my skin, which by itself is a hard task!
Revlon 3 Barrel Hair Waver- I hate how straight and limp my hair is but I don't like curly hair on me either so this is the perfect happy medium. I love how my hair looks when using this!
Funky Fingers Polish in Volts- Not pictured but it's just a deep, bright blue color that I've been wearing a lot this month!
Earth Therapeutics Blending Sponge- I love this sponge! I think it's a dead on dupe for the beauty blender. It's not stiff like other similar sponges and blends my makeup flawlessly!
Random!
Cosmogirl Headwraps- I picked these up at my local discount store and just thought they were so fun and they don't leave marks or creases in your hair.
Inspirations Sweet Tea- I'm really picky about my sweet tea but I have fallen in love with this stuff! I could drink it by the gallon!
Leclerc Celebration Cookies- I absolutely love these cookies. They're a buttery cookie with a chocolate bar on top. They taste like s'mores! Yum!
Music!
Neon Lights- Demi Lovato
Listen here!
Waiting For Superman- Daughtry
Listen here!
So that's what I've been loving this month! I would love to see what you've been loving this month so leave your links down below!

Review | Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick
Let me start off by saying I'm not a huge fan of Wet n Wild. They have some good products but they also have their fair share of duds. I saw these lipsticks and decided to give them a chance. They were $1.99 and I picked up 2 colors in 'Dollhouse Pink' and 'Don't Blink Pink.'
Dollhouse Pink:
Don't Blink Pink:
I'm actually really impressed by these. The pigmentation is amazing and they glide on nicely. They are slightly drying but with a balm underneath, they are perfect. They last 3-4 hours even through drinking. My only real complaint is the packaging. To be honest, it sucks. It's cheap and flimsy and the lipsticks wiggle and come loose.
I'm really glad I tried these and I already have my eye on a few more!
