Review | Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick

Let me start off by saying I'm not a huge fan of Wet n Wild. They have some good products but they also have their fair share of duds. I saw these lipsticks and decided to give them a chance. They were $1.99 and I picked up 2 colors in 'Dollhouse Pink' and 'Don't Blink Pink.'

Dollhouse Pink:
A semi-matte Barbie pink.
Don't Blink Pink:
A matte, bright berry-pink.

I'm actually really impressed by these. The pigmentation is amazing and they glide on nicely. They are slightly drying but with a balm underneath, they are perfect. They last 3-4 hours even through drinking. My only real complaint is the packaging. To be honest, it sucks. It's cheap and flimsy and the lipsticks wiggle and come loose.

I'm really glad I tried these and I already have my eye on a few more!

Review | Sally Hansen Triple Shine Nail Polish

I love Sally Hansen polishes. Especially the Xtreme Wear line! So when I heard about their newest line, Triple Shine, I knew I had to check it out. The selection at my store was very picked over and I ended up only getting one color in Wavy Blue.

The triple shine cap comes off and you have a regular nail polish top which I find kind of annoying. The formula of the polish is really thick and kinda goopy which makes application very streaky and patchy. It took 3 coats to get opaque which is surprising because it is a darker color. My biggest complaint about this polish is the brush. It's awful in my opinion. It's very wide for my nails and makes application harder than it already is.
This polish is really disappointing. I think I'll stick to the Hard As Nails and Xtreme Wear lines.

Have you tried these? What do you think?

Review: L.A Colors BabyPOP Eyeshadows

I can't go anywhere without looking at makeup. Including the dollar store. I saw these and they were $1 for both. I figured why not but didn't expect much. I've tried L.A Colors before and their products aren't very consistent.

The first one is a combo of a cobalt blue and a seafoam green.
The other is a combo of a medium pink and a vibrant lavender.
They aren't chalky like most cheap makeup tends to be. And the color payoff is surprisingly pretty good.

Unprimed:

With primer:

As far as wear goes, they lasted about 4 hours without a primer. With a primer they lasted about 8 hours.

If you have a Family Dollar near you, I would really recommend hunting these down. They are great quality for the price and I will definitely be seeing what other shades these come in!

Review: Elf Setting Spray

Elf can be a hit or miss brand for me. They have products I can't live without and others that just did not do it for me. I tried the setting spray as I heard it was a dupe for Urban Decay's All Nighter Spray. So I've used it quite a few times now and I'm just not loving it. It left my face very wet and oily feeling. I've noticed it smearing my eye makeup and I just didn't notice it helping the longevity of my makeup. I would definitely say to skip this!

Review: Hard Candy Hydrating Lip Stain

I've tried a few different lip stains and they've either been very drying or lacking pigmentation. I was skeptical but for 5 bucks I decided to give this product a go. And I'm so glad I did!
I picked it up in the shade 'Cupcake' and it's a nice baby pink color. The color is surprisingly opaque and applies like a lip balm. It reminded me of Maybelline Baby Lips in the way it went on.
Fast forward 3 hours and after eating lunch.

The shine had worn off but the color was surprisingly still there. My only complaint is that it did lose the moisturizing effect shortly after applying. It wasn't dry but it wasn't moisturizing. Overall I would definitely buy more of these!
